Meadowlands is a full-service boarding, training and sales barn. We offer lessons from the beginner to the advanced levels and tailor our training programs to fit horses of all levels and disciplines. We also offer a starting/backing program for young horses. Throughout the summer Meadowlands attends trillium/‘A’ shows coaching and training students and horses. Ship ins are also welcome! Established in 2007, Meadowlands is situated on a picturesque property in Addison, near Brockville, Ontario. Easily accessible from both the Ottawa and Kingston areas, Meadowlands caters to the show jumping, hunter, and equitation markets of equestrian sport. Shane Wooley and Michelle Matthews are at the helm, guiding Meadowlands as it grows into one of eastern Ontario’s premier ‘A’ circuit/trillium show barns. To function as a top-level show jumping facility, constant upgrades and improvements are made to the property. One example is the new 160 x 280 outdoor ring, supplementing the large outdoor grass jumping field. Together, Shane and Michelle make a great team. Both are experienced competitors willing to share their experience and knowledge with their students. Shane has competed up to the 1.45m level and has worked with such well-known grand prix riders as Angela Covert-Lawrence and Mike Grinyer. Michelle has excelled in the Talent Squad division, training under such luminaries as Sandi Patterson and Olympic Silver Medalist, Jill Henselwood. Michelle was champion in the 1.40m Jumper Division at the Royal Winter Fair and has competed at Young Riders. Currently, she is working at developing her young horses in the hope that one will blossom into her next grand prix mount.
